- Pre-Purchase Guidance
At Kemper Appliance, we want you to be thrilled with your new appliances. Because these are large, complex items, we strongly encourage you to “measure twice and buy once.”
Most return issues can be prevented by verifying your needs before checkout. Please utilize our website’s resources, including model specifications, installation guides, and pre-purchase tips, or contact our expert staff for assistance to ensure the product fits your home and lifestyle.
- Receiving Your Delivery
Crucial Step: You must inspect your appliance immediately upon arrival.
Appliances are sensitive to rough handling, and damage can occur during transit.
- External Inspection: Check the box and product for visible damage before the driver leaves.
- Refusal: If the unit is visibly damaged, refuse the delivery and do not sign for it.
- Concealed Damage: If you accept the delivery and later find internal damage, you must notify Kemper Appliance within 24 hours.
- Liability: Once you sign for the delivery, you accept responsibility for the condition of the product. Kemper Appliance cannot accept damage claims made after the unit is signed for and the driver has departed, unless reported within the 24-hour window.

- Standard Return Policy
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, Kemper Appliance accepts returns under specific conditions.
- Return Window
You may return eligible items within 7 days of the delivery date.
- Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a return, the item must be:
- Brand New & Unused: The product must never have been installed, plugged in, or used.
- Original Packaging: It must be returned in the original box with all packing materials, blank warranty cards, and manuals intact.
- Location: Items that have been moved from the original delivery address are not eligible for return.
- Non-Returnable Items
The following items are Final Sale and cannot be returned:
- Special Order merchandise.
- Commercial Laundry equipment.
- Accessories and Parts.
- Any item that has been installed or used.
- Restocking Fees
In compliance with industry standards and California disclosure requirements, please be aware that all discretionary returns (returns not due to error or defect) are subject to a 35% Restocking Fee.
- Shipping Costs
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. If you choose to return an item, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping to our warehouse. The item must be returned using the same shipping method (e.g., freight carrier) as it was delivered.
- The Return Process
- Request Authorization: You must contact Customer Service to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number. Returns arriving without an RA number will be refused.
- Ship the Item: Use an approved carrier to ship the item back prepaid. We recommend insuring the shipment, as you are responsible for the product until it reaches our warehouse.
- Inspection: Upon arrival, our team will inspect the unit to ensure it is in brand-new condition.
- Defective Products
Most products sold by Kemper Appliance come with a standard one-year manufacturer’s warranty for parts and labor.
- Defects on Arrival: If a product is defective right out of the box, notify us within 24 hours.
- Defects after 24 Hours: If an issue arises after the first day or after first use, please contact the manufacturer directly using the contact info in your product manual.
- Resolution: Manufacturers typically require a service technician to diagnose the issue. Missing or damaged parts are usually replaced free of charge by the manufacturer under warranty.
Important Warranty Limitations:
- Commercial Use: Installing a residential appliance in a commercial setting voids the warranty.
- International Use: Taking a unit outside the continental United States generally voids the manufacturer’s warranty.
- Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are processed as follows:
- Credit Cards: Refunds are submitted to our processor daily. It typically takes 3-5 business days for the refund to be processed and up to 7 days to appear on your statement.
- Checks: If you paid by check, a refund check will be mailed via USPS within 7 days, taking up to 5 business days to arrive.
- Store Credit: For returns processed after 90 days (if an exception is granted), refunds will be issued as Store Credit.
- California Policy Addendum
In accordance with California law, all restocking fees and return conditions are disclosed herein prior to purchase. If a product is sold as “Final Sale” or “As Is,” it is not eligible for return.
